Blackbutt Wildlife Sub-committee
Wildlife is struggling, we are in an extinction crisis. Here in Qld we have more endangered species than any other state or territory and we are sadly world leaders in mammal extinction. Together we need to do what we can in our local area to support our wildlife, so we can be proud to say wildlife in our community is thriving.
Here in Blackbutt and the surrounding areas we are lucky enough to share our backyards with an incredible diversity of plants and wildlife including many endangered species. Celebrate our local wildlife by sharing information, photos and videos of the wildlife in your backyard.

This is also a place to share information and learn so we can all help protect and restore habitat. Don't be afraid to ask questions about species ID, habitat restoration or care, collectively we can try and find the right answers.
This group is run by Blackbutt Friends of the Forest, a local group set up to build community engagement and awareness for the region's unique and diverse wildlife and habitats, so we can collectively curb the tide of extinction. We are a subcommittee of Friends of the Forest Inc.
